On my last 4 runs my ankle has been very painful and swollen. Worse last night after doing run 1 of week 5. Have iced it and rested my ankle. Any advice would be grateful πββοΈ

Is it just 1 ankle? If so sounds like some sort of injury in which case putting wrapped ice on it for 15 mins a few times a day and elevating it as much as possible should help. Are your running shoes in good condition. Poor shoes are a big cause of injury.
If both ankles then it could be oedema - water retention, quite common when we start new exercise. Same treatment really although below knee support stockings can really help (can get from a pharmacy best to get measured early morning without having run before). And make sure you ice and elevate after your runs.
