Hi A bit about myself. I’m fast approaching my 45th birthday & so unfit. Started s/w in 2017 lost 2 stone. 😊Then I was very sick at the beginning of 2018 and lost a shocking amount of weight in a very short space of time. 6 months off work to regain my strength. Fast forward to now I’ve put back on 1:5 stone. ☹️And I feel sluggish. Oh I’m asthmatic. Started the couch to 5k on the 27th dec 1st one I bridled walked ( forget my inhaler) 2nd one I managed to slow jog. Almost killed me (remembered inhaler) due to do my 3rd one time tomorrow 🤪 oh and I take my dog with me who loves it 🐶 just hope I start to enjoy it as much as she does 😊

You're doing it and you're going to manage it. Sounds like you have the determination, which must count for a lot! Soon your dog will find it hard to keep up with you ;-)

If it’s any help, my first run felt like it tried to kill me.... and I’m not asthmatic.

Welcome and very well done so far. Slow and steady is the key, especially early on, so keep it as slow as you need to, you should be able to speak full sentences and hopefully then the asthma won’t be affected while your whole body, including the lungs, gets stronger. Enjoy your journey.
