For me, those aches subsided in week 3, but I made sure I didn't overdo it. I did some walking in between run days and that seemed to ease the pain. When I say walking I don't mean "brisk pace". I just mean walking to the local shop and back - about 1.5km only. I did have new trainers too - because I hadn't worn trainers for twenty years!. Watch out for the G forces if trainers are worn out. It could cause joint pain or worse.
Yeah I'm going to keep fairly busy, glad to hear it'll pass, lots of stretching and core work i guess.
I did buy new trainers, my old ones were very tired and hadn't been used for about 3.5 years. That said I'm looking forward to week three,I'm enjoying the challenge.
