I use MapMyRun, just the free version. It’s accurate as far as I can tell (it measures parkrun at exactly 5k which is good), and most of all it’s easy as pie to use for a non-techy like me. 😀👍
I have it set to give me updates of time/distance every 0.25k which is helpful. It runs alongside my music or podcast, whatever I’m listening to.
Just giving you another suggestion, but they’re all quite similar. 😀
Hi Pollyana24, I use Nike Run Club which tracks distance, speed, etc. And you can keep listening Laura’s podcasts at the same time. I guess apps are quite similar.
That said, despite its name the program goal is to get us running for 30 minutes. I guess we all get curious about our distance and speed, but especially at the beginning I found it was better for me to focus on finding my “happy” pace. Experienced folks here say distance and speed come later. Slow and steady, happy running! 😊
