Much easier when I find the right tempo

Every now and again a piece of music comes on that perfectly suits my running. Just the right tempo for my legs and makes it so much easier for those 2 or 3 minutes. I’d love to find more of the same but does anyone have any ideas on how to find your perfect tempo and find tracks to suit.

There are probably easier ways, but I found beats per minute websites and actually calculated BPM for the songs that were my best tempo, then made a playlist of the various ones that worked best.

I don't know about finding your perfect tempo I guess it's what 'feels' right and good for you. One track that works exactly right for me is Happy by Pharrell Williams, it just suits my pace and style perfectly. I was actually looking at this very thing on the internet the other day, there are loads of websites where you can get playlists of music that have specific beats per minute - I guess you could count how many steps you take per minute (time for 15 seconds and multiple by 4) at your comfortable pace, and then look for music that fits. You can also find your own music by counting the beats in your favourite songs and use the ones that are the same as your favoured pace to make up a play list. Hope this makes sense!

Thanks for the suggestions. Now just to figure out how to avoid potholes AND hold phone AND use stop watch AND count AND run all at the same time! I’ll work up to it 😉
