Anyone any suggestions? Keep getting calf soreness to the pout today that I had to stop... Graduated a month ago and still kept up 3 a week but over the last 2 weeks my calf’s are giving me grief 🙄 Is it maybe time to upgrade my trainers ? I looked at the compression sleeves you can get, not sure if they would help or not? The other thing is I don’t really warm up, just a 5 min walk as per c25k ! Maybe a good stretch before would help? I do always stretch afterwards tho ! Thinking of getting my bike back out for a week or so and hopefully that’ll be enough to rest it up 😑

It could be any number of reasons.... warming up well is essential...if you do stretch before.. it must be dynamic stretching, stretching after each and every run is also essential.. Up your rest day exercises too and try these calf exercises...

If there is constant calf pain..then the compression sleeves aren't the answer.. go and get checked out by a Sports Physio
Perhaps some ice packs whilst resting too? Maybe have a look on the runners world website to see if there's any advice. I was chatting to an ultra runner a few weeks ago and they said change trainers 350-700miles depending on what you're running on (mixed terrain can go longer, tarmac wear sooner)
