So, I’m on a mini-recovery after a dodgy back at the weekend, following my first 5k celebrations (pride comes before a fall etc.). Did a tentative 2K yesterday, not too bad, and decided to walk my usual run routes on my rest days. The great thing about walking over running is that you can stop off at the pub half way. Lovely afternoon, leisurely amble, pint and book in the sunshine. This walking malarkey is good, no kidding. 😎🍺📖

Ok... I need to suggest to Strava and Nike a new run type... choose a distance and plot a route to end at a pub. I’d certainly be up for those... not sure about the run home though.

I think that’s the point of running groups isn’t it? Work up a sweat, rehydrate in the pub. 🍻
