Having been working towards running for several years I can now complete a 5k Park Run in 31 minutes and a 10k - mainly downhill - in 1h 15.I have now returned to the start of C25k to try to improve up hills. Does this work ???

Never tried it... in theory it will. Downhill isn’t easier on the body, if anything it’s harder on joints... uphill runs do covertly build speed though.

Hi Phil.

I have no idea what "covertly build speed" means tbh. But running hills (uphill that is) will make your legs stronger. Think Kenyans. Running hills is what made them a global force to be reckoned with. Covert or not :-)
