Morning all - I’m looking for a pair of light weight running shoes I can chuck into my carryon (think budget airline here!!) so I can run on a weekend away. I know there are lots of light weight shoes out there - sketchers immediately come to mind - but are they suitable for proper running? Any suggestions welcome. I can fit my normal ones in - probably wouldn’t want to sit next to me on the plane if I did!!!!🙁
Thank you 🙏 🏎😀

There are plenty of “barefoot” shoes out there, super light but also super low on support and shock absorption. One US track and field coach I was reading suggests running barefoot, which on trails around here is only for those who don’t mind dog s*** and worse in their feet, but if you’re near sand it’s ideal.
Thanks for you reply. I’m definitely up for barefoot!! I’ve suffered with some injuries so do need some that is a good running shoe like my ASICS bit weigh much less!
I always wear mine to travel on the plane - they are by far my biggest and heaviest shoes (I wear stability shoes with custom orthotics) so the best place for them is on my feet!
