Pace slowing down.

I started running to lose weight and help control my bipolar. I've been happy running and have been able to run longer than I've ever done. Now though I'm slowing down and can't seem to get up to the 10k I was running only 2 weeks ago. Has anyone else had this where you just can keep up the pace?

You're bound to get a bad week every so often. I had one this week - 7k on Monday left me absolutely exhausted, 3.5k on Wednesday was awful because I went too fast. Managed to get things back under control today with a slow 5k - back in my comfort zone. I've no idea why this happens, but it does and I guess we just have to put up with it. Maybe try an easy 5k and build back up from there? Good luck!

I think you're right. I may try just slowing down and giving myself more time to recover.

Don't sweat it. Your body is simply tired. Build a much lighter running week into your schedule every 8 weeks (or just take a week off running and do some stretching or swimming instead). Your body will love you for it, and you'll be out stronger next time.
