A question of pace.

As a novice in just second week, does it matter how fast one runs/jogs ?

Although I have completed all the sessions thus far, it feels like a run in name only.

I possibly will benefit eventually, but not certain speed will increase.

No it really doesn't matter. Run at whatever pace is comfortable for you. The programme is great. Once you graduate you can decide if you want to increase distance or pace. For now just enjoy! 😀

Sounds about the right pace then. Is it getting you out of breath at the end? Can you hold a conversation at that pace? Slow is better than fast right now... you’re doing well.

Believe me I do not run I plod, I can hold a conversation and I’m puffing nicely by the end of each run. Speed isn’t the main aim of this programme it’s more about building up time running. Once you can run/jog/plod for 30 mins then I’d think about how to up your speed. Always remember your running faster than those sat on the sofa. X
