For the first time in 3 months, I have back ache (not pain) and I really don’t want to run tonight. 30 years of chronic pain, I knew this day would come. Considering running through it, but taking it slow.... feel a bit rubbish really...

I’d take it slow and see how you go - no pressure, you could always walk it if needed. Or do it tomorrow and have an extra rest day. I only did 2 runs last week as stuff got in the way. My back has been a little sore after the last couple of longer runs - I’m wondering if I’m arching my back a little and need push my hips forward ??

If you really don't want to run then don't. You won't be relaxed and your back might feel worse through tension.

On the other hand, running might loosen everything up.

(I'm a Libran and always see both sides 😂 Sorry not much help)

Perhaps you could go for a walk in your running gear and see how you feel? You could run a bit and if it is painful you could go back to walking if you feel you need to go out. Don’t exacerbate your back though - you don’t want it to get worse - I know you know all this!! Do whatever you feel - there is no pressure and no shame in giving yourself a break to heal. Take care. X 😊🏃‍♀️❤️

Sound good to just go for a walk. Just take care of yourself and don't push it. Nice and easy does it. 👍☺️

Hey Dralimc sorry to hear you’re in some pain at the moment. It’s taken lots of grit to get us to post grad running, but the best thing is it’s here to stay and you want to keep enjoying it. So if you decided to leave it until you’re feeling better that would be understandable. I hope you’ll be feeling back on form soon! Big hugs! ❤️
