I missed one week...

So, I like to run in the evenings/at dusk because 1) I think dusk is pretty and I like walking home when it's darker. 2) I'm not much of an early morning person, but pretty active/energetic in the evenings. For the past week events/work/things have come up so I didn't manage to do a single run! I felt so bad!

But today I got back on track with W5 R2 and I found it really easy? I was going very slowly but it felt so nice being able to have really comfortable controlled deep breathing (nasally) for the whole 16 minutes of running (2x8 minutes). It's interesting because I was anticipating it may be more difficult due to not running for a week. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm going to take from this experience that missing a week does not have a detrimental impact on progression! :) (which I was worrying and feeling guilty about)

It is said that a couple of weeks doesn’t affect your condition. You probably found the run was easy because you were so rested.

Enjoy your next run.

I had just finished week 3 & then had to take 10 days off. I was really nervous about running again as I thought it would be difficult, but I re-ran a week 2 & found it easy! Which was a big morale booster, so today I re-ran a week 3, & it wasn't too difficult, so now I'm all ready to tackle week 4 (eeeek!) But I don't reckon that the time off did any harm, in fact the running was definitely more fluid & less of a struggle after my 'holiday'.
