It is done.

I had to drag myself out there, which is not usual. The route was a bit of a shambles, I had no idea where the hills were, and here in France they tend to drive on the wrong side of the road, which is unnerving.

Pace and distance down on the other two runs, but who cares. It is done.

The left knee, the good one, the one I save for emergencies, was not on good form this morning, but keeping the pace down seemed to keep things in position.

As for the future, there will be no talk of marathons, half marathons or 10 k's. Three runs a week will do me just fine, thank you very much.

And thanks for the support received on this excellent forum.

And, grudgingly, thank you Michael. We've had our moments, but you saw me through. You are a good man.

Congratulations to you "couch2couch", but it's not back to 5K to couch, like me I have also no plans to start training for the liking of marathons, half marathons or 10ks, I started with C25K as a continuation of 'exercises for older people' which I have been doing for some time now. I have enjoyed my time with this program, and will continue to run 3 days a week, two longer runs and one shorter run, perhaps increasing the time gradually, 10% rule per week, roughly adding 3 minutes a week to the longer runs and take it from there and see what happens. Really, in France they tend to drive on the wrong side of the road, ha, anyone coming from France might think that about UK motorists.

I prefer to keep away from roads whenever possible. Especially here where the locals drive like idiots.

I received a long reply from one of the mentors with many links which I need to study.

I’ll try hard to keep up the good work not least because I’m actually enjoying it!

Hope you do too
