Found week 1 ok and really struggled with week 2. Keep getting heavy legs and burning shins and not feeling the buzz anymore. What am I going wrong?

I found week 2 tough. The intervals were long enough to hurt but not long enough to get past that and find a pace. Week 3 was better!

It could be the surface you are running on. For me concrete is the devil!

Or it could be you need different trainers. Your local running shop can help with gait analysis and recommend shoes based on how you run.

I’ve got the right trainers from a specialised running shop, but I was running on the pavements this time rather than gravel, grass. Maybe you’re right about the intervals. I won’t give up. Hopefully week 3 will be better 🙂

Hi Salsaila. You might be going too fast (see this excellent post by IannodaTruffe : healthunlocked.com/couchto5.... Try slowing down for the next run and see how that goes.

Make sure you stretch properly post-run (it really does help) and that you're properly hydrated.

If you haven't read the How To Run The C25K FAQ post (healthunlocked.com/couchto5... definitely have a look at that - there is lots of very helpful advice in it.

Thanks for the helpful tips. I am definitely not going too fast. I can walk faster than my current jog speed lol However, I think I need to spend more time stretching and keeping more hydrated.
