So I’ve had a week out due to knee pain 😔. After a week of doing as I was told by my Physio friends I came back this morning. Still sore but I’ve found that doing no/low impact exercises for the week has helped. I can back to a week 1 run as a gentle test. Has anyone got any tips?

... check back in with physio friends? did they give you strengthening exercises perhaps? I don't think the forum is in a position to offer medical advice but can probably reassure you that lots of people come back to running after their problems are sorted.
Thanks. It was strength exercises. Happy we share an office 👍🏻. My main hope is that it doesn’t stop me.

I had some pretty bad knee pain in my right knee once I got in to week 3 ish the first time around. Physio gave me strengthening exercises and stretches to do, and also recommended going for walks at lunchtime while the pain was gradually getting better.
I'd definitely get your physio friends to give you advice on whether they think you're ready to try again.
