Yes,now you’re up, get going πŸ‘

It’s fine todo the programme on your own, easier in fact as you can do it when it suits, no waiting around

Don’t delay

Start today 😁

I just started myself. I’d love to join your group, but I am in Pennsylvania, US, so the commute is too long! LOL good luck - we can do this!

How lovely to hear from you in america, have you actually done your first run yet?

I'm sitting on my couch thinking all sorts of reasons not to go and know i will be so disappointed in myself tomorrow if i dont, its nice to join a community, feels like you cant let the side down.

You must be so pleased with yourself, well done!

I'm thinking of all sorts of reasons not to go tonight and its great reading what others have experienced.

I was the same - kept thinking of reasons not to do it I'm now on W6R2. Go for it - once you get that first one over it gets easier. You will never be alone now you've joined this forum- everyone is great on here - you will get so much support & encouragement. Good luck & keep us posted

Ha ha, no i didnt run but i did go out for a long walk as i have decided to run early in the mornings instead.

Actually I've done so little for so long that even walking was taxing me so bit nervous about tomorrow. No hiding place for me now :)

Nope, nowhere for you to hide, we have you in our sights haha. You walked though! Would you normally have done that? Every little helps πŸ˜‰ and you seem to be in the right frame of mind πŸ‘

I am dreading my first run of week 5 in the morning so I know how your feeling, we all do, we have all been there, but we are all cheering you on.

Look forward to your report tomorrow. And remember slowly does it! πŸ‘. Good luck.

Week 5! I am seriously impressed and please know how motivating that is.

How did it go today?

Well, first run, off i went, you didnt all warn me it might kill me, i was wondering at what point i may have to call 999 and was quite worried about the 2 bras i was wearing, (us larger ladies have to take extra precautions) and what the paramedics might think!

Did the first, 2nd and third sprint but couldnt manage 4th, huffing and puffing i tried my best to look cool passing people en route.

so, dont know if i should be pleased for doing my little something or shocked at how little i could do.

I did keep up the brisk walking to the end and set my reminder for next session!

Well done for getting out there. Bit worried about your use of the word β€œsprint”. This is meant to be a slow jog about the same or not much faster than fast walking. I am over 60 with health issues and have made it to week 6. So slow and steady it’s not a race.

Wobblewobble profile image
Wobblewobbleβ€’ in reply toLousylungs

Yes, quite right, a slow jog, mine was certainly slow. I was getting carried away with my terminology!

Getting to week 6 is most impressive and having actually started I am feeling great respect for people that are actually making the effort and also persevering.

Good luck to you.

You have also made the effort. Now you have to persevere! You did 3 runs which is 3 more than you’d done before right? So heading in the right direction πŸ‘. But seriously slow it RIGHT down!! When you think your going slow, go slower! And you’ll get there!

Well done! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
