Advice re days of rest!

Probably a silly question but I did Week 9, Run 1 on Tuesday. recently I have been taking 2 or even 3 rest days as I have needed it.

My query is I have a proper 5k sponsored event to do this Sunday so should I :-

a) rest up today and then on Sunday do Run 2 as my 5k event so will have had 4 rest days or

b) do Run 2 today (after only 1 rest day) then the Run 3 on Sunday at the 5k event?

Not sure what to do for the best at the moment as don't want to peak too soon and tire myself out. I was hoping to already have graduated by this point but what with being tired and having a bout of the dreaded blisters things were put back a tad! :P

Advice appreciated, thanks! :)

Woohoo week 9! So close!!

I'm also running in an event Sunday - my first! I'm only in week 7 and I'm scheduled to run w7r2 today and my legs are feeling pretty tired. I'm going to give it a go and see how it goes. I'm going to take it really easy and just take it as it comes.... if it's rough I'm going to switch brisk walk. I'm hoping 2 days off will be enough if I am successful with the run today... eep! Interested to hear what advice you get!!

I'm hoping at the event I can do an initial run of 5-10 min, walk for a minute or two, then do my 25 minute run, continue to the finish if I feel comfortable, or do run/walk intervals to the finish.

Seeing as all the W9 runs are the same length it does not really matter.

If you are used to two days between runs then it is probably best to stick with what you are used to.
