I haven't logged into this forum for ages (forgive me!), but I have carried on running. I started my C25K experience in June 2014 in Cambridgeshire, and have been running on that county's flat terrain without having to worry about anything more than a mild incline.
Last month we moved to Wales. We are currently renting in a lovely village where I can run down the road and back without having to encounter any major topography, but we have recently agreed the purchase of a nice house which is at the top of a hill sufficiently severe to suggest that I should replace my weeny 1 litre car with something with a bit more grunt as I have to go up the hill to the house in first gear. This led me to think I should start tackling some of these green lumpy things which surround me so I can carry on running when we move.
To that end, I shunned the easy route this morning, and took the hilly option. To my surprise, it didn't induce pain or vomiting, perhaps because I sensibly took it fairly gently. I think I will have to be careful with my knees coming downhill, being a lady of a certain age and a bit creaky in the knee department at times, but it generally felt pretty good. I took plenty of walk breaks, and it wasn't as bad as I had feared.
So there we are. Maybe hills COULD be my friends! After 4 years of easy trundling, it was time for a new challenge anyway.
