Again can’t believe I’ve done it! I felt less energised today, managed to do it but wondering if it’s because I didn’t leave a rest day. So far I’ve tried to work it so I don’t have to go at the weekend, this week that meant doing two consecutive days. Will try to avoid in the future!

You know what we're going to say don't you? Please don't skip rest days, they are critical for your recovery and are actually building up your running body. Stick to the programme otherwise you risk injury and you really don't want to go there 😭

As irishprincess says, rest days are part of your training as a new runner, it's when the body heals and gets stronger.

You also don't have to take each couch to 5k week within 7 days - you can take more rest days! I did mine taking 2 rest days giving 9 days for a week. Takes a bit longer but so what! You're still building a habit :)

Well done. You are at the same stage as me - finished Wk 3 this morning. I can't believe I have stuck with it, but bought new trainers yesterday so really need to keep going!!!!
