YAY, I DID IT. The dreaded 20 minute run!
I started off with completely the wrong attitude, convinced I was going to fail. So instead I decided to see just how far I could go before needing to stop. The first five minutes were hard, but as I got into my stride, the next 5 were easier. Then I started to think, "maybe I can do this", and before I knew it, I had reached the 15 minute milestone in the mindset of, "I CAN DO THIS!" And so I did!
As a 48 year old who had never run until 5 weeks ago, I class this as a massive achievement.
WOOHOO, GO ME!
