The difference between R2 and 3 feels enormous. Is it really possible to up my game that much?
w5R3: The difference between R2 and 3 feels... - Couch to 5K
w5R3
Just completed my W5R3 it is totally doable if you pace yourself just be careful! I've had sore knees since because I pushed too hard.
What got me through was a colleague told me when you feel like giving up you usually have another 25% left in you ... not sure if it'll do it for you but Good luck!
Yep! Slow and steady and follow those who have gone before you and survived. It really is just another run and you are totally ready for it
I found it was a mental thing. Go prepared with some decent, motivating music. Aim for reaching a particular stretch of road or the 5 minute mark, then aim for the halfway mark. Then remember you’ve done half and only another half to go. And then you’ll be on the final 5 minutes and it’ll be the home stretch. That is how I did it and it went ok. I also slowed down when I felt it was too difficult. Just keep going, and be aware that you’ve already done two 8 minute runs this week and this is only a few more minutes. You can definitely do it!
You’ll be fine. You’ve run about that time already, the only difference is it’s all in one go. But - I’ve been where you are, massively doubting my ability, and if you’ve followed the plan thus far, it’s well within your capability. And you’ll feel chuffed to bits afterwards too!!
Of course you can do it, its just the next run in a brilliant program that works!
Start nice and slowly, stay slow. Think of it in five minute chunks..and keep going nice and steady.
Be positive and be prepared to amaze yourself by completing it!😊x
YES. You can do this 😀
