Just finished week 1 run 2 and found it hard due to shin splints! Still managed to complete it all it just took me a bit longer but would love any tips of how to rid the shin splints!! I do stretches before and after already :)

Hopefully you’ll find the same as I have, they ease as your legs get stronger and more used to it through the weeks. I haven’t found any stretches that have made any difference, although having your gait analysed and getting trainers that suit your feet and running style should help, as could a foam roller. Other than that all I’ve been doing is have ibruprofen before I set off and ice pack when I get home.

Thanks for the advice! ☺️ I’ll definitley try the ibuprofen and I’ve pack on my next run! It was so frustrating because I didn’t feel physically tired and was so motivated to carry on but had to slow right down because of the pain! 😩

Interesting advice here... if the pain is bad.. do not run through it.. use the pain relief until the pain goes.
