Treadmill runner.....is that okay?

My last run of week 2 today. I don't know if I will make it though C25K but I hope so. I am doing this whole thing on a treadmill at home if that is okay? Not seen many posts with people only using the treadmill. I know I need to get outside but didn't do very well last time so maybe try again in a few weeks.

It’s absolutely fine. You might want to set the incline up a notch but tbh I never bothered with that for the first 3 weeks. Good luck with the programme.

I try to pretend my treadmill doesn't have an incline setting but I suppose I should. Thanks

Running is running is running :)

You are missing out on a lot though :(

I will make it my goal to get outside again towards the end of the 9 weeks.....maybe. Thanks

It is, of course, OK. People do use treadmills. Whatever gets you moving is what uou need. I find treadmill running very dull so I use two local parks and vary my route. Enjoy the programme. It really does seem to be very additive and, I promise, will become fun. 😊

I am now on.wk 9 run 2..i have done it all on a treadmill at the gym. I go at 6am before work i didnt want to run outside whilst its so dark in the morning. Once ive graduated I'm going to try and alternate running on treadmill with running outdoors.

As long as you are running that's the main thing. Keep going and remember your amazing !

I did the whole of c25k on a treadmill at the gym. I then did a few Parkruns but found it much harder running outside. I’m now concentrating on trying to run outside more but I do find the treadmill easier and more convenient. It is worth putting the incline up a bit to mimic outside running and it is harder to vary your speed (not much). For me the treadmill was great and got me through the programme. Go for it, anyway you like, it’s your run and it helps if you enjoy it ☺️

Thank you! I will have to stop ignoring the incline setting to prepare me for the outside runs if I ever get there

Hi, I switch between running out and in! Mostly out now though as it’s lighter. Enjoy! 👍🏻
