Hi, hugely unfit and nearing a significant birthday! So had a bonkers moment last week and signed up to do two 5k's, one of which includes inflatable objects - what's that about ๐คจ. No idea of the best way to start moving my lady bottom from couch to 5k so have joined here as I can see it's worked for quite a few of you lovely people and the panic has set in!! Happy Sunday everybody. X

Happy birthday for tomorrow ๐ฐ๐พ๐ธ๐Have a brilliant day. I'm 50 in July. I think it's a milestone birthday that makes you sign up for these things ๐
You will be awesome. Just follow the program steps and the great admin advice and youโll be doing it. Getting into a habit of getting out there is key.
Well done for joining this brilliant programme. I started last September (aged mid-fifties) having never run since school. I can now run 10k!
Take it slow and steady, stick to plan, have rest days and enjoy ๐
Donโt panic! I started two weeks ago and although do other exercise, have never been a runner in my life. Now I find myself looking forward to going out, which is not something I would ever thought I would say! I can already feel a difference. So just start, take it slowly and if possible find someone to go with you, even if just for the first run. I found this a great help. Good luck and enjoy! ๐โโ๏ธ
Youโve joined the most friendly and supportive forum Iโve ever been on! With support and fantastic advice Iโm now a runner on week 7. I was collapsing on the first couple of runs because I was going too fast to sustain it! Keep checking in for support and advice about anything and youโll be a runner before you know it. ๐๐ป
I thought I was going to keel over in week one as I'm massively unfit. But I've just this min got back from week 6, run of 25 mins and have been thinking of doing one of those obstacle course muddy runners too. You can do it! This forum is brilliant x
