A simple Garmin or other watch to track your progress. Alternatively just get Strava on your phone instead?

I've got a Fitbit Blaze which i'm quite happy with. Doesn't have GPS so you need to connect to your phone before you run, but it does allow you to see pace in real time and to start / stop tracking without getting your phone out (useful if you want to track just your run and not your warm up / warm down).
