I have that app installed for the actual running. but I cant see a way to get to this community page via the app?

No I dont think you can.

You need The Health Unclocked Communities App i believe. Different App to the running one but aligned to it. I dont use the app, just the web site

The app is only on iphone, not android. I hear it's a bit lacking though as you can't see badges or polls...unless that's changed?
