I’ve just started running and was on w2r3 on Wednesday when my shins started burning and I had sharp shooting pains all up and down my legs. I continued running thinking it would wear off but it got worse and I had to stop. They’ve been aching and sore to touch ever since and I’m wondering how I can help make it better. When can I start running again and is there anything I can do to help my legs heal? Thanks in advance 😊

I had the same but just carried on having a rest day and running slowly the next day and it gradually got better. Make sure you have some good running shoes too .

I had it quite bad in the early weeks.
Find some shin stretches online and do them religiously before you go out each time and you should be ok.
I finished c25k and just did my second 5k this morning, hardly a twinge since I started the stretches.
