Armband or belt for my phone?

Hi.

I just got a new, bigger phone (iPhone 8 plus) and now need to get a new arm band for music and using running apps. What armbands do you all use or is a belt a better option?

Ooooo that’s quite a big phone, my hubby checked it out last week ( he ended up with the IPhone X because it is smaller and fits his pocket). That said I don’t think the 8 plus would fit the belt I use. I would suggest you maybe try your local sports stores and check fit, whichever you decide on.

My wife uses an armband.

I use a belt.

Neither of us would use the other.

Whatever you find comfortable. I've used both but find an armband gives me easier access to volume control, etc.

I don’t own a sports bra. Can guys wear them too for running?

Of course 😉. But the experts on here will probably advise going for a professional fitting. A bit like gait analysis but for bounce 😆. I expect you will soon be sent a link with lots of helpful information.

They also might advise not putting the phone in your bra.

Don't tell anyone but I've only just learnt it myself. And you're not "just" anyone. You are a very valuable you. 🙂

Yep make sure you get one with space for phone, keys and a couple of sandwiches!😀

You can get bras with space for sandwiches? Haven’t seen those on Dragon’s Den

Yes, if you have moobs! Think some ladies use their cleavage to hold phone, but thinking your phone will be a tad big for that!😁

Use a belt..

Luckily, no moobs

A professional fitting would be important. Don’t want to get any chafing

It's funny isn't it. They were getting smaller and smaller and soon we will be back to Dom Jolly phones!

I like my flip belt; can fit all sorts in and it has a clip to secure key. Not sure how big your phone is tho'

I could have got a smaller phone but It is easier to read without my glasses on🤓

I use an armband and can fit phone, inhaler and keys in it easily.

If I'm honest I went for an armband over a belt originally as I would have had to determine a size to order for the belt (feel this would have been a bit demoralising at the start of my running journey 😂) but couldn't imagine running without it now.
