I was struggling on week 4 and my last run was 2 weeks ago today, as I had a busy xmas and I've come down with yet another stupid nasty cold (2nd in a month) 🤧. I had to run for a bus the other day and could only seem to run for about 10 secs then was puffing and blowing like a steam train. I really want to get back out there but think I'll have to go back at least a week. That's not a problem but it was strange that I really struggled running for 10 secs. Is it because I wasn't wearing my trainers/fat girl leggings and had high heel boots on I wondered, so a different mind set maybe?
Ps I bought 2 fab sports bras in m&s so really want to try them out. Jogging round my lounge like Rocky in them, to check for bouncibility, isn't the same 🙄

I’m guessing high heels may affect your running capabilities but only having worn them once before (long story!!) I am not the best person to ask !!
Were you prepared to run? Warmed up? Muscles ready? I guess you weren’t, so your body wasn’t either.
Don’t be hard on yourself, once you prepare for your next run, both mentally and physically it will all fall into place.... no negative thoughts!!
Go out for a test run and see how you go, I think you will surprise yourself..
I was out for nearly a month and it’s surprised me how quickly you can get back into the routine, I was fully prepared to roll back a couple of weeks but in the end managed to get back on track, all be it with a couple of “practice” runs
Think positive thoughts and let us know how you go.
I think it took me a while before the running ability seeped into managing to run for a train without dying, in regular shoes, carrying a work bag, holding my arm against my chest - so it may come for you soon - but heels! Oooof.
Also hurrah for testing out new sports bras! Definitely a treat waiting for you when you can get properly back to it. Take it easy tho eh!
