So I stopped running on R8W3 about 2 1/2 months ago with Patellofemoral pain syndrome and now feel well enough to start in the new year delimema is do i start at R1W1 or do i start at a later Run 🤔

I was on week 7 until I caught norovirus followed by a horrible cough/cold. Haven’t ran for maybe 6/7 weeks. Today was my first day back and I was disheartened thinking I would be back to square one but once I got back to the gym I decided to give week5 run 1 a go and although I found it tiring I did it. I’ve decided that I will try this run at least twice more before moving on to w5/r2. Not sure whether I’m doing the right thing as I’m a complete novice so if some of the guys on here who have a lot more knowledge and experience say something different then my advice would be to listen to them. Good luck getting back into it. I feel so much more positive now I’ve made the move to get back to it x
Get in the same as you! Got to week 7 went on holiday and just neverpickes it back up. I've started again from week 5 so if anyone does have any advice is be curious too
Have you been treated by a physio or doctor? Might be worth getting their advice as we are (mostly) not medically qualified and I would hate to advise something that makes your knees worse again.
