That’s about the distance I run at the moment three times a week and as I didn’t run at all before September I feel it must be doing some good !

Running 4k in 30 minutes on one occasion will not be of much benefit to you. If you did that 3 or 4 times each week then it would definitely be doing your heart and circulation a lot of good, as well as developing your legs.
Sir I run 6 days in a week ..
The NHS C25K training plan suggests that new runners should always leave a rest day between runs. This is sensible caution for those who are only just starting out as it takes months, if not years, to build running legs that are less prone to injury.
You are young and your pace is fairly gentle, so you may be fine with running 6 days per week. We normally recommend not running consecutive days until you have been running regularly for at least a year.
Take care and don't overdo it.

Hi guys im new to this site,i hope I can get alot better at running and have more stamina for the misses. I recently got a dirty dog and it loves to go out and walk so why not go for a cheekey jog when im out with my main fella ian (the dog).I havnt got and children because my testies got trapped in a taxi door one time, but that story will be told another time but anyway the mandem if anyone has any tips and tricks,please help me because I will deffo need it I am looking to loose my son on the way and a couple of pounds. I think this 9 week challenge will be really beneficial to me because I use to work in the premier inn (NEVER GO,IT IS POO I HAD TO JUMP IN A CAGE TO FLATTEN THE TINGS DOWN SO IT COULD FIT IN THE TROLLY TING FAM YE GET ME ) anyway see yas byeeeeeeeeee
