Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Morning all πŸ˜€ I’m off on holiday today till Friday but running gear packed . Apparently Tattershall Lakes has great places to run so why not . Week 9 I’m coming to get ya x

Currently in week 8. Completed run 2 yesterday. Still can't believe that I can actually keep going for the 28 mins. I surprise myself each time I go out. I can't say that I enjoy the runs but the sense of achievement at the end is immense. I am hoping enjoyment will come as my old body comes to terms with these new questions asked of it 🀣

I'm at the same stage. Can't claim to live running but do love the sense of achievement that comes with each milestone. I'm currently in the middle of week 9 and think for some reason week 8 was tougher.

Just finished week 7, a bit later than planned but decided to take the last weekend of my holiday off (and have a few drinks tbh...I stayed off the booze the first week of my holiday and completed 3 runs, but there's only so much one can do...). Anyway, back on track now, a slow and difficult run today but completed it and now looking forward to week 8!

Week 6 already??

OK, Week 5 was pretty good. Let's see how Week 6 goes.

Starting with the local "ready to run" group tonight, so hopefully that will help me along too. I've no idea whether my running technique is good, bad or other at the moment. :D

W8R1 done! Also as it was a bit chilly out, first trial of the Aldi compression top - I am a bit wary of anything called a compression top because it sounds as though it is going to show every single lump and bump. But it did keep me warm :)

Just completed W7R1 this morning and am both happy and surprised with my progress so far. It's not been easy, but I think it's definitely been the challenge I've needed. Going to Holland at the weekend, so looking forward to R3 being in different surroundings πŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

OK, ready to run was fantastic. Really enjoyed it. Pleased I went in week 6, not week 1 though as we had to jog to get to where we were starting the class / group. I would have died 6 weeks ago!!

Did W6R1 today ... made the mistake of varying my route, adding in more hilly stuff ... I was absolutely jiggered!

Hi all, I’m chris just finishing wk3 :) had a rocky start as my left knee gave way and had to stop for two weeks :( so repeated week 2 and now battling on :) nice to meet you all :)

In week 2 of post graduation runs and looking to get 5k under my belt in around 35 mins (or at least run for 30 mins). Am usually an early evening runner so a bBit worried about running in the dark now the clocks have gone back 😬.

I'm debating a head torch...would you use one? Just thinking, like you, that it's a bit dark now!

Like you I have debated as I’ve seen other people mention them on here. I’ve compromised on a couple of new ultra fluorescent tees and some reflective armbands for now. I don’t like wearing stuff on my head so if I can avoid that I’d like to

I know what you mean - I've resorted to wearing a lightweight cap to keep my hair out my eyes but it was a big step as my head gets so hot!

Went to Pilates last night (another first!) and really enjoyed that. Today is W6R2 ... quite a nice day for it too. Oh, and I've just taken my blood pressure again ... 118/77 ... definitely have a solid trend in the normal range, which is top banana for me!

Me again, really chuffed. Week 6 Run 2 bagged and tagged, including a big ole hill right in the middle. I kept those legs going though and the elbows pumping and when it levelled off again, it was much easier going. Enjoy your runs, everyone!

I’m ploughing on with my consolidation runs. I was away on holiday last week and had a minor ailment so had about 10 days without running. I was pleased on Sunday to manage 30 mins without stopping and again on Wednesday. I’m hitting Parkrun number 3 on Saturday as my third run this week.

In the meantime I’ve agreed with a friend to sign up to a 10k in a March 😱
