Non running related but hips aching .... so extra rest day or two for me .... went to see Nile Rodgers & Chic at the O2 on Friday and danced all night long , along with everyone else in the stadium ... supported by Chaka Khan the place was one big disco party which transported us back to our youth in the 70’s .

Well woke Saturday and hips were aching .. walked around 10 miles in London in the sun ... beautiful however this morning my running legs feel alittle weak and sore .... so after lots of deliberating I have postponed my Sunday long run until Tues so I don’t injure myself .... sensible or just and excuse ???

My vote is sensible. Dancing, what a great cross training activity. You were shimmying and shaking those muscles in a different way; it's ok to let them rest.

By the way, sure sounds like it was fun!

It certainly was fun πŸ•ΊπŸ»πŸŽ‰πŸ•ΊπŸ»πŸŽ‰ ... and yes lots of muscle building exercise ... I must admit before I did C25k I would have been out of breath but lung capacity defo improved considerably

It is lovely how our running benefits can extend into other parts of our life. Imagine how sore you would've been if you hadn't become a runner 😳

Very sensible, but a great reason not to run.

Thanks Marin_Rose ... It was fun but feel a tad guilty missing a run especially on a Sunday .

Very envious, I would have loved to see chic and dance all night, you definitely did the right thing.

Very sensible! You'll feel so much better on your next run.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Happy running !πŸƒπŸƒ

Brilliant, well done. There are some lovely places in London, lots of greenery if you know where to lookπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜€

Sensible in my book. Dancing and walking feet. Sounds fabulous. Have a good rest :0)
