Running with a niggle?

Morning all, went out to do R7 Wk2 this morning and my right ankle was niggly all the way round. Haven’t hurt it at all so I’m not sure why it was annoying me. It didn’t cause me pain, I was just conscious of it so I kept pushing through it. Am I ok to keep running do you think?

It is difficult to give firm advice but if it gets worse, rest up.

I have just come back from a bike ride, because I turned my ankle last weekend and I don't want to run on it, though it causes me no problems being on my feet all day.

This is where the "listening to your body" comes into play, developing an awareness of little niggles and seeing how you get through them. Unfortunately, it is not until we get injured, very often, that we remember something that may have led up to it.

Just be careful and you will probably be fine.

Thanks. I tried to go on the logic that if it wasn’t causing actual pain then I would try and push on through and finish the run. Really not sure what was going on. Will see how it goes after my rest day and maybe take the next run slower to see if it helps 👍
