Week 2 Run 1 β And I can't believe I am saying this but I kinda like running now - having always thought I hated it (I still feel traumatised by those cardio sessions on the treadmill with my PT at the gym all those years!) While doing my session this morning at the running track in this beautiful green park surrounded by lovely people working out, watching their kids playing sports or just chatting to each other or sitting at the bench and reading their newspaper, I realised why I like it now and didn't like it back then (my gym days). It's the fresh air, the green space, being outdoors this lovely time of the year (hmmm I wonder whether I will feel the same in the middle of winter!). I thought the gym environment and a PT would motivate me, but it never had that effect. While now it's only week 2 and I'm loving it πππ

Good for you....lovely post π; sounds like youβre settling in nicely ππΌ
Thank you π Surprisingly, I think I am. I always thought it was easier to run at the gym but now I feel the opposite. I felt great this morning after my session and I can now enjoy having my coffee and reading my newspaper at the park cafe watching others working out around me π
Great!
Have run WK3R2 this morning and loving it. Think youβre right, thereβs something special about running in the fresh air
Hold that feeling, keep that smile, it will take you through to Graduation.. slow and steady as you go... and we are right here to support you.. through the cold days just the same as through the warm days
Well done Vassia.πYes, this program is great, the runs are challenging but doable and you feel fantastic when you complete a run...
Do take your rest days, they are important and do some gentle stretching after your warm down walk while your muscles are still warm.
Keep going..onwards and upwards πx
