Did 3rd run yesterday - gearing up for W4 R1 tomorrow. Bit worried about the increase in time on W4 as R3 was hard going.

No pain just legs feel like lead - and I literally couldn't go any slower without running backwards!!!!

Just do the sessions as instructed. Being slow is absolutely as it should be. No need to push at all.

I have run backwards..it is...interesting...:)

No seriously... slow down.. and there is ALWAYS slower..believe me...just warm up really well, with your brisk walk and then take it up just a notch.. breathe gently, land lightly and try to relax..think of other things... recipes, songs, funny names for folk.. me running backwards... you can do this :)

Follow the program and OldFloss' advice, I too had issues with W3 runs as I was trying to keep my pace up, worry about that later.

I was taking my youngest daughter to work the other day and we saw an old man, he must have been at least 80, jogging on the pavement, my daughter commented that he was slow (not nastily or anything like that) but I replied I'd be happy to be doing what he's doing when I get to that age. Slow and steady, worry about pace and distance later.
