Any good 10k programme

Just completed c25k course and managed a 5k run in 38m12s looking at doing 10k any good ones

Many of us moved on up to 10k by increasing one run per week by a maximum of 10% of our weekly total mileage. This only takes a handful of weeks to achieve. I did it this way because I found the plans too proscriptive for my personality.

There is lot to be said for consolidating at 5k/30mins for a couple of weeks, to become comfortable at that distance. Try running somewhere new......a beach, a cliff path, a forest track or moorland ridge, forgetting about pace and pushing the envelope and just enjoying the fact that you can run this distance.

The big danger for new graduates is that they want to relentlessly push on at a time when they are still very, very new runners with only a few hours of running on their legs. So consolidation is a safer route for a few weeks. So many of us have learnt the hard way......by doing too much too soon.
