Iβve been a super-lurker recently, just plodding along in the background, doing C25K for the second time due to injury and other dastardly niggles. Anyway, today I finished it and managed 4.5k, 0.12k further than first time round just over 2 years ago. I must be improving π€£. I canβt wait to consolidate and then get back to my old running haunts, theyβre still there Iβm sure!
I cannot lie, repeating was mentally tough especially at the beginning so I want to say a huge thank you to Birdlady64 RunBrianRun Instructor57 and Cmoi for cheering me on on Strava, it really helped, you are all stars, as is Oldfloss for her kind words on a recent post βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ.
Fast forward to today, and Iβm starting to feel like the old me again, pain free, and full of running hope. And hereβs a photo of my brand-new Pinkies, which I thought I would treat myself to, just because I could.
THE PROGRAMME WORKS!!!
I hope everyone has a smashing day.

Thanks MissUnderstanding ! I stubbornly stuck with it π€£. I had to work late last night and the night before so am amazed I made it out to be honest, pretty tired really, so I am celebrating with Netflix and me time - canβt beat it. πππ
They are beautiful, I'm not jealous at all (as she looks down at her plain black shoes) πππSo pleased for you that you are getting back to your old self and.... That's a long way in 30 minutes, well done you
Thanks Cmoi - I feel pretty chuffed too. Next stop, an Ultra! Only joking π€£. Will just be really happy to start snuffling round my old routes as spring progresses.
Thank you so much RunBrianRun ! I was surprised that I managed that speed, but I was def out of breath towards the end. I need to get my Garmin stats on side again, theyβve been very disappointing recently π€£. All the best!
Oh yes, you are definitely back! No better reason than " just because" to treat yourself to some new runners. Wishing you many happy miles in them π€
Thank you Birdlady64 I very much hope Iβm back, although a bit annoyed as the right foot new trainer seems a tad small, and I went a size up! I might need to buy one of those stretching devices π.
Aw thank you so much OF! Yes, they are very sassy and I leave them outside the front door, so every time I go out I get the shock of my life because they are seriously bright, almost fluorescent π€£. I shall definitely share more runs from now on, although I never know where to post these days! I had to chuckle because first time round Tim had to put me right about consolidation runs, I was still calling them consolidation runs after about 2 months! π
Wow. You have given me hope. This will be my 3rd time starting c25k due to various things. I'm on it again, although feeling much fitter than the first time round. Committed to completing it this time round. So yep your update gives me hope and I realise that not everyone completes it the first time round and to never give up.
Thank you for your kind words, and Iβm so pleased Iβve given you a bit of hope! You can definitely do this! Harness your inner stubborness - thatβs what saw me through π. Also itβs getting to the time of year when itβs getting lighter at both ends of the day which makes a big difference. Good luck!
Just done W7 R1 on comeback from injuries. Felt good and so much warmer today. It feels great when you can see the end in sight again doesnβt it π€£π€£π€£
Oh well done you! I really enjoyed week 7 this time round, not so much the 1st time for some reason. Itβs a lovely day for a run, very bright and chilly where I am - youβre nearly there Scruff55 πππ.
It was a joy to read this post Frenc ! I am about to start the programme, around week 3/4. Knowing that in 6 or so weeks I will be running for half an hour fills me with buoyancy!
I adore your pink trainers - what a dreamy colour π The first words that came to mind were raspberry pink!
