C'mon, get backside in gear

I completed w8r3 and then lost my way. Was poorly, then working nights and before I knew it, I've not run for 3 wks. Feel really annoyed and need to motivate myself.

Okay... out that door... your running shoes are feeling neglected... you will feel so much better for it :)

I feel your pain. Night shifts can be really debilitating. I try to run when I can but shift work and working long hours is definitely a barrier. Anything is better than nothing. But right now I'm off to bed!

So if you start running again you'll feel fitter, look better, be happier, be healthier, live longer, be more confident and ultimately proud of yourself. You might even win the lottery but that's not guaranteed 😎

So far you've taken two steps forward and one back - now it's time for another two steps forward. Start again at week 6 and get running - do it for yourself 😀

Your situation chimed with me- I got to the same position as you and then Christmas came! Recently, decided to go back to week 4 and go from there. Feel energised already and am determined not to let my efforts go to waste. Making the first step is always the hardest but you're almost there- you can do it.😊

Once you get out the door I'm sure you'll feel the benefit, and hopefully your motivation will return. I once lost my mojo for a bout 4 weeks, had to almost force myself out of the door, and was so reluctant to run at all. But it was worth persevering. I tried a new route, and somewhere along it found my mojo again. :-)

Mo jos typically hide out near trainers I have found. By putting on the trainers and opening your front door, the mo jos miraculously reappear, because they need a change of scene. Good luck and let us know how you and your mo jo got on.

Just head out the door and you'll be back home in 40 minutes. Three more runs and you'll graduate!

Just get your running kit on and tell yourself you're "only going to do five minutes around the block". Once you're out of the door, that switch will trip in your brain and you will be straight back to running as normal!

You'll be fine. Get outside and run. And you'll surprise yourself by how far you can run!
