How do you measure just exactly how far you've run and what time it took.

It doesn't matter for the programme.

It does for when you've finished the programme.

Was going to say don't get hung up on distance, but see you are about to graduate so understand your interest.

Strava is free and records your run.

I'm almost to the end, just one week to go. I don't want to stop, so I'm just interested to know where to go once I've graduated so I can keep going.

It is fun to record your runs while you consolidate your 30 mins. I did Wk 9 or ran to my own music for a while. The c25k+ podcasts are good if you like structure and they have running tips.

Look out for the Nhs c25k club on Strava quite a few of us on that.😊

You can get a running watch. You can download an app that will work on your phone. There are loads. Strava, Endomondo, Mapmyrun etc

3 ways:

1) Running watch (with GPS). £80-£800, Garmin, Polar, Suunto, tomtom, fitbit... or an activity tracker - these are a little cheaper, but less accurate. The running watches will display time, distance, pace, possibly heart-rate etc as you are running.

2) App on your smartphone - android or iOS. Probably free or very low cost. You could consider mapmyrun, Strava, endomodo, runkeeper and many more (sorry if I did not mention your favourite). Low cost (if you have a phone), quite accurate, you probably have your phone with you already, main downside is that it is hard to see statistics on your phone whilst you are running.

3) Old school... use a stopwatch to record your running time, then use an online tool to measure where you ran and the distance. Free, but timeconsuming and prone to errors.

BUT

The only parameter that is important during C25K is time. Just run/walk for the time announced in the podcast or on the app. Speed, distance, pace etc are not important. Even once you've graduated you'll probably spend some time consolidating your 30 minute runs.
