Just done my first ever c25k jog. The distance came out at 2.5km. Does this mean I was running and walking too slow or does the distance build gradually? It's

Hi and welcome!!!! Well done on your first run
It does not mean anything at this stage You ran and you walked... at your pace... and this, after all is your journey
Speed and distance, really do not come into it
You are on the first week and if you follow the NHS C25K programme it will take you after nine weeks, ( or longer if you need it) to running for thirty minutes, comfortably and safely
Slow and steady is the mantra on here... and the sure way to keep off the IC...and the whole thing is about having fun too
Keep posting your runs, there is so much support on here, and we are all in it together, whatever stage of the running journey we are at

I only did 3km on the first run. In theory you build up to a possible 5k in 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure it will take me longer than that even after the whole 9 weeks. You go at your own pace and as the running time increases every week your stamina will increase. A lot depend on the local terrain - I'm deliberately choosing the flattest routes I can!

No such thing as too slow. Welcome and well done completing your first run.

I almost wish there was some way in which any kind of tracking app was disabled whilst running the C25K app or podcasts... it so rarely seems to help people and often gives rise to concern.
All the NHS C25K is about is time and safe regularity. So, you're good!
