Hi everyone I am very overweight and have tried lots of other diets etc but found nothing tends to work for me so I've decided that I will commit to the c25k and I have to say I love it so far it gives me alone time to think with just my music playing now I'm a real slow plodder but I'm trying and I'm having fun well fun maybe a little strong but I'm certainly enjoying it so I thought I'd say hi to everyone and see if anyone has any advice for a newbie on a mission 😊 Thanks in advance xx

Welcome! You have come to the right place - assuming you are looking for support and encouragement that is :).

Advice? - 1) Smile while you are running! It's easy to forget and smiling releases extra endorphins which will make you feel good.

2) There is no such thing as too slow! If you are struggling to keep going, just slow down some more.

3)Keep posting - making a committment to do something to someone else makes you more likely to get the task done, so post your intention here and we will hold you to it!

...and if you have one nearby, try out your local parkrun :)

Thank you we do have a park run I keep looking and thinking about going but I think I will probably wait until I'm at least managing 5 k I worry about holding people up or making people wait for me which I think is why I'm enjoying the freedom of starting alone I have a few friends who have started at the same time but I have to keep reminding myself they are ex runners and their fitness etc is far beyond me they run together but I can't keep up YET I will do this and I will be there keeping up it may take me a while but I will get there haha thank you for your tips and I will try and smile xx

Keep going! Don't be a quitter. If you don't stick to things you won't succeed. You have to regularly check in with yourself to remind yourself of what your goals are. If you want to lose weight and get fit then you can. There is only you that can make it happen. Or not! If you want to lose weight then you know what you have to do don't you πŸ™‚
