Hmm after reading a few of these posts it looks like the second week is quite a jump. I'm concerned I will find it to difficult and I really don't want to be put off. Does anyone have any advice?

Looking for advice.
Welcome, well done for starting, and take it one run at a time! The programme is designed to have your body adjusted to running in such a way that each consecutive week will be achievable. Don't start worrying now, you'll only build up your mental block and make it that much harder for yourself! That's what they call a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I was worried about this too but honestly, you'll be fine. I've got into a routine where the first day of each week, I go as slow as I possibly can (Strava informs me it is slower than my walking speed - can that be right?!) and then after that, I feel more confident knowing I can make it round.
You have only just done one run, so you should not prejudge what you will be capable of after the next two W1 runs. If you complete the run, then you are ready to move onto the next one. If you don't complete a run then simply repeat it. You are in control, but you obviously lack confidence in your own abilities. Trust the progression of the programme, take it nice and steady and you will no doubt surprise yourself by what you actually can do.
The other advice is don't read ahead if you are of the sort of personality that will be daunted by the challenge. Just face them as they crop up, then you don't have time to worry about it. I have said it many times, learning to run is a hugely psychological challenge, as much as a physical one, so stay calm and relaxed, remember you are in charge and you will sail through. Good luck.
I promise you that (likely) every single person who is a graduate felt exactly like that (probably) at more than one point during the program. It can be a concerning idea that expectations are going to increase, but you just need to trust the program: trust Laura - she knows what she's doing. That being said, if you don't feel ready to move on, then do another week where you are. There are no rules saying that you have to complete the program in a set period of time. Me? I took 12 weeks - not 9, but I still got there, and you will too!!
Don't look ahead?
Take it one very slow step at a time... the programme is so carefully structured that it takes you slowly and safely along the running path; injury free, and building up your strength and stamina as you go...
It may be difficult at times, sometimes the discomfort is necessary, it lets us know if we are on the right track, or if we are pushing too hard Keep it very slow and steady..
" Nothing to fear, except Fear itself"
But you are going to squish that gremlin, Fear, with every slow step
I too am a newbie to all of this. Just finished week 1 yesterday so now about to embark on week 2.
For me, my only goal for week 2 is to actually do it and not stop! No shame in having to walk a bit longer if need be. For me, my mindset is as big a challenge as my fitness (I'm 41 and have never run!)
Im attempting my first week 2 run tomorrow afternoon. Would love to know how you get on - good luck x
