It rather depends on what you want to do. Try a couple of weeks enjoying your new running ability. Have you run to 5k yet? If not just do that a few times, just keeping going gently past the 30 minutes. Look at your local Parkrun - it's great fun. Then perhaps find an event in a few months time and aim for that.
Spend a few weeks enjoying your new superpower. Find some interesting 5km runs - by the beach along a prom, in some woodland, along a ridge at the top of a hill, through the fields, anywhere that will make you feel that all the hard work is worth it. And you'll never get bored with your running.
Yesterday I deliberately ran along a bridleway that I know normally has a river flowing across it. I've never run through the ford. Yesterday, there was just a tiny trickle of water so I could get across. On the other side I thought 'I've never run here before'. how exciting!
It's a good idea to do a few more 30 minute runs and if necessary extend to 5k. Just till you can do a 5k on a bad day rather than a good day. Parkrun is a great way to add some fun to this aim.
Then sign up for a public run or two. A 5k run in a month or so 'cos basically you can do this already and a 10k just a bit further off. These will give you something to aim for.
Like others, I would recommend just trying a few different things at first. The important thing is that you keep up the impetus by continuing to run on a regular basis (say 3 times a week as you were doing on the programme). Try the 5K+ podcasts and mix them up a bit until you decide what suits. If you haven't done a parkrun yet, you really must. I settled on the speed podcast, parkrun and a slow long run for my 3 runs a week until I found out what I really liked. I've slowly brought both my distance and my speed up. Now I just do what I feel like when I set out through the door at the start of my run.
I'd probably improve more if I could settle on one thing, but I keep trying to dip my toe into all the alternatives. I'm currently training for an HM, running 5K to 10K races on a fairly regular basis, trying out trail racing and seemed to have signed myself up for some cross country... Just go out and have fun - do whatever you fancy.
Oh - did I mention it? you must go and do a parkrun
Deffo C25k+ podcasts. I did em straight away and really liked them. I did Steppings Stones, the Stamina, then speed and continued mixing them up for a bit before embarking on Bridge to 10 k
Parkrun is brill fun! You could do that this Saturday.
sign up for a public 5k running event (Parkrun/local race/fun run) they are so much fun!
