Garmin 10 question

I have a new Garmin 10 watch as my present to self for completing C25K. In setting it up I am unable to set it to walk, then run rather than the opposite. Am I just a total idiot and it can be done?

For now I would like to have the 5 min walk warmup.

To be honest I do my 5 minute warm up walk THEN start my Garmin when I am running....they are fab but not sure that they are that clever!!! Enjoy it :)

I know you can put intervals on it so maybe there's a way to put a five minute walk at the beginning?

I have a Garmin FR 10 too but I just start it when I leave the house and stop it when I get back in. I compare the runs when I get in and put it on Garmin Connect.

I just do my walk then start the Forerunner 10 for the duration of my run - I don't really think you can set it to differentiate between walk and run, you can set lap times on it which may help. I did have an app which you could program for walk/run intervals but it didn't have GPS
