Thanks for that, very interesting. Means well, execution a bit un-nuanced. All towpaths are not the same - and all times are not the same. I'm no fan of being mown down by a thundering fast-paced stony faced runner, or cyclist, but I don't really see that the slowest towpath user should feel entitled to occupy the full width of the path all the time. I love my local towpath, I'm a slow runner and I am happy to keep my dog on a short lead on this canal for the sake of the water voles... but I do have goals sometimes and it would be nice to feel that people would move to the side for me to past them without breaking my rhythm... but I wouldn't run there on a Bank Holiday!
