Does anyone run on canal towpath?

Just wondering where others run. I have been out boating since I started c25k so most of my runs are along the towpath and usually in a different location! I often wonder if other runners I see (usually only once) are fellow c25kers😊

I have done in the past, they used to be my favourite place to run as I was the fastest thing in sight... none near where I live now though.

Marple locks will be my nearest bit of canal now... wouldn’t fancy running up there!

Not sure of that, it would not be wise to ask runners you see and stop them running to ask if they did C25K, the runners who I have asked when they had stopped running for a rest had, sorry to say this "had never heard of C25K"

Haha! Hadn't really thought of stopping anyone to ask!! Thinking about these things takes my mind away from making excuses to stop running😊

I run (today w3r1) on canal towpath in northern Italy. I wonder too if runners I meet are following c25k

There are no canals in this area; I usually use a disused railway line. Similar theme !

I've run on disused railways too as they are often close to canals. I like running somewhere different each time but sometimes think it would be easier to run on familiar territory☺

I’m just starting out; so far I use the railway for two runs, as it gives me a clear picture of how much further I get each time, then I reward myself with a change on the third run. There’s pros and cons for both.

I run on the canal path. We need a secret wave 😀

I’m another one. Nice & flat (in one direction - the other way has a flight of locks) plus lots of shade in the summer.

This year I have spent a lot of time inspecting the towpath to see what it will be like to run on😀 Tomorrow there are three possible runs. 2 ways have locks and 1 way a tunnel. Hoping I am done before I get to the locks😂
