Week 2 Run 2
Good stuff Josie! That's the way to do. Enthusiastic is good. Don't go overboard with the enthusiasm though as you have to stay uninjured, so listen to Laura. The programme will enable you to get further each week so it's just a matter of being patient. All good things come to those who wait.
The weight loss is great too. I actually gained weight at first (oops) but I don't eat after runs now and I'm keeping my weight down. You notice that your body shape starts to change too. For the better!
Great stuff Josie! I've just got back from W2R2 this morning- keep at it! Well done on the weight loss too- I'm doing myfitnesspal as well and lost 5lb on week 1- now lost another 2lb so half a stone down!
Josie-jo GET YOU! Well done. Isn't it great when things go in the right direction? Keep focused and you'll do the 9 weeks no problem AND will have lost a fair bit of weight if you stick to your calorie goals. Remember myfitnesspal allows you to EAT your earned exercise calories WHICH IS BLOOMIN' GRRRRRREAT!!!
Hi danzargo thank you for this and my breathing is sorting out. Have a question for you though, I didn't realise you could eat the calories you burn??? I find this a bit strange, surely if you burn them then eat them you will not lose any weight?? Or am I being stupid!!!!
Look forward to your reply as confused!!
Josie jo
MyFitnessPal works out (once you've put in the details) how many calories you need to eat AND lose weight WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING. Your exercise calories are "added on" as a bonus to your already pre worked out calorie daily rate. You can choose to just keep to your calorie rate and NOT eat your exercise calories - or do what I do - USE THEM AS A REWARD!!!
Does this make sense?
Oh wow .Thank you this is greeeat news!!! I didn't realise this. What a good idea!!
Best regards
Well done on your progress, both running and weightwise. Good luck with the third run of the week. Best wishes.
To you all thank you for your encouragement!!!! I am so glad I decided to do it! Will catch up with you all on WK 2 Run 3
Best regards
