Jeff Galloway seems to be very big in the States, but not over here for walk/run method. Is there anyone in the UK who does the same?

I am not in the UK (am in Australia) and I have used Jeff Galloway 5K training programme from the MAYO INstitute as a leadup to do this 5K programme. I am intending to do a 14 K run in August and will be using one of Galloways Disney 10 mile 18 week training programmes. He has run in around 156 marathons, is now an older man - and primarily concentrates on developing injury free runners. I am 67, and so far in 3 months have not had a twinge of anything. He is worth listening to. There is a fair bit about him on the Internet, vids on Youtube and he has written quite a number of books.

Thanks for reply. Do you know if you can enter 10ks and not run all the way?

I've done 6 10Ks and walked the first 2 of them (the last one was 2 years ago), and ran/walked the rest. I want to be able to run one completely (but out local 10K course has a hill that even the 'elite' runners write about online and call it a 'killer' lol

This is good news as having to run all the time would put me off doing a 10k but if I can run/walk it is doable.

I know when I walked the whole 10K, I was quicker than some joggers - though when I started running/walking my times decreased!
